Last week we completed the purchase of a 76 hectare property on the north side of the Reserve. The purchase was made with funds provided by long-term partner IUCN NL and our new partner SavingSpecies. The purchase is the first step towards a long-term effort to build a conservation corridor between the Jama-Coaque Reserve and neighboring reserve Bosque Seco Lalo Loor. We will continue working with our partners over the coming years to ensure the forests between the two reserves are protected well into the future.
